'88 Orville by Gibson Les Paul Custom - Wine Red

Guitar is in outstanding condition for a 34 year old instrument.
A few small dings, light scratches & some light buckle worming on the back.
Gold hardware has somewhat faded/tarnished.
Also, there is a spot in center of the inlay design on the front of the heardstock where there is a small chip in the finish.
Frets are near perfect.

I've owned this guitar for many year, but it really doesn't get much play time due to chronic back issues and the guitar being bit on the heavy side.
Some of you may recall me selling a Wine Red Gibson Les Paul Custom here a little while back.
This one stayed because it actually rivaled the Gibson in tone & playability.
She's super acoustically resonant with great sustain.
Just a great sounding guitar.

Stock Gibson USA pickups
Long neck tenon
Beautiful fretboard

Neck measurements -
Thickness at 1st fret - 0.83
Thickness at 12th fret - 0.99

Weight is 9 lbs 7 oz on a digital postal scale
Includes a very nice TKL Hardshell Case

Price - Sold

Ya, Orville’s are just great guitars. Most I’ve played over the years were all good, rivaling their USA counterparts and even better in some cases.

I’d have to play numerous USA LP’s to find one to stay in the stable, yet the orville’s quality were more equal across the board. GLWS!!!!

your selling yours to cheap....they are crazy for wine red customs right now. I'm seeing mij's going for well over 2k.....
Thanks man.
Yeah, I wasn't really sure what to price it at, and prices seem to be all over the place.
I listed on Reverb for $2200, but I'm fine selling here at the price I posted.

nitro finish?
In 88 yes. It’s been refretted once - that’s why there’s no faded trim on the fretboard but there is everywhere else. it’s been case kept and well maintained.

I’d already bought it but I need another Les Paul like a hole in the head.

I’m really surprised this is still here.

Hey man, thanks so much for the info, I really appreciate it!

Wow, that’s crazy that’s rosewood. So dark and nice looking. I love a dark and
Uniform fretboard.
