Hello, got a few quick questions for you guys......is the picture below an older footswitch as it looks nothing like the columbus also am I correct that the diezel footswitches memorize your settings so you can dial in your tone and then save it, regardless of moved knobs on the head??

no, you cannot do that. What you can do is have an fx unit in the loop and save your presets on a given channel (lets say, ch.1 with 300msec delay in bank #1, then ch.2 with some reverb in bank#2, etc... but the settings on the amp will be the same always. now the Fx unit, given it's a midi one (gmajor, rocktron, etc etc etc) will remember your settings, but the amp won't.

Wow!! I REALLY want that footswitch!!! I´ve been searching for a footswitch with those functions since I don´t use any rackgear!
You selling? ;)

hey udo, but you can do all that with a Colombus (change channels/mute/masters/loop/inserts)

But can you set the columbus like this pedal? This isn´t a traditional midi-footswitch because every switch has just one designated function. Like the midcut switch is a masterswitch....understand what I´m trying to get at? :D

oh yeah I understand perfectly. But with the Colombus you can do all that and then more...... I believe. :)

Yeah the Columbus can do alot of stuff, but I don´t think you can have a midcut-master switch on the columbus, you have to save presets for all channels with and without midcut. And since I don´t use any MIDI effects I don´t really need such an advanced footswitch

Does this footswitch work well with all version of Herbert?

This footswitch don´t works with any Herbert !!!!

It was sold to customers with special controller chip.

I forgot to mention that we can send the
controller chip that works with the footswitch.

Sorry for rebirth this post, but i need to solve one problem:

I am a new Diezel Customer, my amp is Herbert and i bought the same footswitch that you are talking about, but the guy who sold me the amp didnt send me the controller chip, so my question is:

Where can i find that controller chip and what i must do to get it?

Thanks you all guys

Greetings from Spain.

Welcome to the board

First check if the footswitch is for Herbert or VH4.

If that is correct and You it don´t works send an
email to service (at) diezelamplification (dot) com
to get a new controller chip. I need Your address, phone
number and the serial number of the amp.

Best,
Peter

Thank you Peter, yes, the amp is this: .

I´ll send a message to Service with my address, Telephone number..etc... and i will ask for the chip.

Thank you for your quick reply
