Thanks

So Fortin can mod your amp to have MIDI control?

I just really like the practical aspect of having MIDI built into the amp, as to eliminate as much outboard processing as possible. Speaking as a working musician, and not a world touring that is...
The less stuff I have to carry from my car, the better

And also... I get a faint but definite stir in my groin area when I press a button and my rig goes from bone-dry clean to in-your-face-fuzzy-with-19-different-effects... Now that is lovely.

Use an RJM Gizmo for midi control for any amp, without all the logic controllers and switchgear inside the amp.........

RJM makes great products. I had the -16 when I had the Mesa Roadster, which worked great.

Only problem (which is not really a problem at all), is that I like to use as little equipment as possible for gigs, and having a switcher means that I need a rack case or the like...

The reason why I like amps with MIDI (especially combo's) is that I can use a pedal board with a looper (with MIDI also), or a MultiFX with the amp modelling switched off... And have a really simple versatile set up. That way, I got: Combo > Board > Guitar... Done.
Less to lug about, less to worry about.

Of course, if I was playing on a slightly larger scale, I wouldn't mind using some more of my gear live.

...and any amp I custom build you, if you wish it to include the capability.

I can also mod amps to accept MIDI using one of my custom boards.

It's pointless to try to make this list as MIDI has become common in so many amps, and then products like the Amp Gizmo make it brain-dead simple to add MIDI control to any amp that lacks it.

Virtually all heads from ENGL have MIDI, plus their e530, e570, and e580 preamps. All amps from DAR, most from Diamond (I'm fairly sure on this last one)... and on and on...
