Been trouble shooting a rough idle.
All checks out soup to nuts with ignition.

Found throttle bushings leaking.

no easy fix for that. Cant find a shop that will do it.
Only choice is to find a working core. GL with that 55 yrs later.

Time to cut my losses
Putting on a new holley next week.

New carburetor day.
Replaced the dinosaur with a new holley
Upon further inspection i found besides the shaft leaking so was the power valve.
See gas on the plunger.

No wonder it was choking out on idle but not a speed

The bitch is Running great right out of the box.
Made a few minute adjustments.

Still have to dial in the fast idle and probably need stiffer return spring
