is that some weird two tone finish or reflection of light where the top is carved?

PRS is one of those company's I want to like, but just can't.

Just a weird reflection. Here's the stock image on the PRS site.

This is one of my most favorite guitars I've owned.

Weird how most folks round here dont like the Paul Reeds. Possibly too versatile to play 80's rock. And Doug Alldrich doesnt play one.

I've never bonded with one or cared for them in the least. They sure are pretty though.
Oh, and I don't play or listen to any 80's music or care what Aldrich uses.
Sorry that I don't fit into your sweeping generalization.

+1

I've never felt like I have to have one like I do with Gibsons. I feel like I need one of each. Hell I even feel like I need a Fender occasionally. I think PRS just lacks that burned-in image of all the guitarists I've loved since growing up using their gear. I try not to be a name-brand guy, but I only feel compelled to buy iconic guitars.

Sorry, Steve Stevens.my bad.

I've always loved how PRS looked and sounded but it wasn't until a few years ago where I made the switch. I had Custom Shop ESPs, Ernie Balls high end Ibanez and they were all great, but I was always lusting something more. Finally made a trade for my first real Custom 24 and immediately moved all my gear for more PRS. I love how they feel, sound and just look - everything about them makes me happy. Combine that with befriending a lot of people at the factory and actually finding out the attention to detail that comes into them made it only worse.

Ill never knock anyone for not liking them - different strokes for different folks for sure, I just ask that they give them a fair shot and block out the internets preconceived notions about em'. Theyre one of the few companies I think that are still trying to be innovators and create some new things in the market.

As for the Clint Lowery model its great! Its a slightly longer scale length than typical PRS so it handles the low tunings really really well without being too big of a baritone. It looks mean too with the nickel hardware and pin stripe binding.

I'm sure they would be willing to bust out some fluorescent paint if you special ordered one.

I'm down for juvenile humor but you just suck at it. ;)

Stating your opinion as if it's a fact makes you a douchebag. Fact.

If you see one of those NF3's I posted above give it a whirl. Bolt on with an awesome feeling neck and P90ish sounding pickups. Total shred machine.

No doubt, it's a total love fest up in this thread! :inlove:

I love black guitars, Clint's playing, and the fact that this particular PRS will be well under $14,000! :D

I love the look of that thing. PRS makes a great guitar. I try them every chance I get.
