I am monampagomous in my thinking. Just have the 59 Guild and a Gibson Les Paul Jr. amp that came with my Les Paul Jr. guitar. I think you need to beware of atd's which is amp tramitted diseases, be sure to wear a condom my friend. I asked the wife if I could get a Fargen for christmas this year, she asked how much, I said $2,600 and that shut down that jam session pretty quick. Where will it end? As far as guitars and pedals etc I am also a whore but use protection as a rule.

To rationalize it... I'm finally at a point in life where I can do this and try out different things. MOST stuff doesnt stick around very long, but I get try things most people in my area only dream about. We have NO Mesa dealers around here, as high end (granted most of my list isnt HIGH end but still nice) as it gets around here is Marshall and Peavey.

So, I've been enjoying swapping gear out and trying new things

actually not bad.......ALTHOUGH if your looking for a BUDGET bass, Older Peavey Foundation. US made, solid as hell, great neck, and decent electronics. I bought mine for $100 with case shipped ;)

Just bought them both last week. :D

I'll probably go home either this weekend or next weekend to test them out. I'll post my thoughts on both of them. :)

So what do you think about the HGS models? Gimmick? I want to pickup a Horus HGS. Is the HGS you have a trem model?
 
It's honestly almost impossible to tell that the bridge is moved back 3mm on the HGS models. The only thing it really helps with is intonation in lower tunings. You can't really feel much difference at all.
