Steve King told me via PMs that some suspected Brad of misusing funds to keep himself 'looking loaded' with high buck sports car rentals etc...trying to look like a 'playa' so to speak.
If that's true, poof went the funds that were 'supposed' to help the guys who lost amps. Or so he posited.

I want to preface this by saying I am not referring to you personally just these recent fly by night amp companies/modders that have come and gone in the last 15 years. All I'll say to this is Mark casually asked me if I was interested in helping build CCVs, to which I politely declined. You were standing right next to him. I've also received formal offers from a number of well-known, boutique amp companies—which I also politely declined.

He's learned from others as well. Nobody does this stuff in a vacuum and there's nothing wrong with that.

Yeah, I can imagine this happens. And you're correct: I didn't do this. The only advice he gave me was to try a simple low-pass filter in one of my amps to darken it up a bit. Not exactly a trade secret. Also, remember the Meshuggah? I was certainly in Mark's corner on that one...

How can one be so not smart? He literally could be a real “playa” if he managed his stuff istead of doing stupid shit. And it was in 2010s, when everything guitar sold like hot pies.

The few interactions with Brad that I had, he seemed like a nice dude. This is all stuff I heard through the grapevine so to speak, so maybe there's other factors at play. But, I do know he did go away for a couple years. Someone posted his case/sentence here way back.
