This is a live recording my band did at our rehearsal place awhile ago. I replaced my guitars and replayed the parts with my new PRS Custom 24. I used a Aracom PLX 100 Marshall clone on one side and a Marsha Friedman on the other side. I use the new DRX attenuator and my Marshall 1960B with Scumback H75 65 watt speakers. The solo was a bit of a struggle since I have a bad left hand so I did it in one take before blowing my wrist, so there's a couple of rough spots. I tried to get the AC/DC sound as close as I could. The drums were recorded at a crappy room so they are raw. I hope you enjoy it, https://soundcloud.com/eljodon/whole-lotta-rosie-drx

Nice. I really thought I as going to hate the vocals at the start but when the song gets to kicking in the singer does a good job. I'd drink a beer to it!

I know the begining is a bit funky because is hard to copy Bon Scott and my singer doesn't drink so it was hard to get the vibe!LOL!. We were going to re do it but we decided against it since it was live and it would've been hard to match the tone. He used a Shure 58 and it had a couple of plosives and a couple of times the "p's" had to much lows so I automated the eq to lower the lows because it was triggering the master compressor and everytime he used a "p" the whole mix was getting sucked down.I'm glad you like it, we use to do it live, but we now do Highway to Hell which is more popular song.

Another ripping clip, there, sir...check your email.

That singer frigging rips. Covering Bon or Brian can be tricky, this was well done. That guy has pipes. You are lucky. of course the guitar playing is top notch. I don't think it matters what amp you play to be honest.

Thanks, and this one has no backing tracks!LOL!We're lucky to have our singer and he's a cool guy too! I just explain the gear that I use just so people can hear how the amps sound on different situations. I try to get the sound as close to the original, but I didn't have my Metro amp which would've sound closer(David Bray is putting a Mod 1 +on it).The Marsha has to much gain and The Aracom PLX100 has a different midrange sound so I had to use an eq to bring the twangy sound that AC/DC gets.
