But that song, to my mind, was always about the movement to tear down the f'ing wall and victory was imminent.
In a broader sense, yes... about standing up to oppression, being done with always getting beat down, overthrowing the powers that be, etc.
And for giving David Hasselhoff a bigger audience in former East Germany of course. :p :cheers:
 
I should have clarified 'the movement' & its connection to the song b/c that movement was a thing in the early/mid 80's, and they won 🍻.

But then I ask myself, what exactly is a "london leather boy"? Unbelievable guitar tone on that song, but still..
