Hey all,
So, basically I have two set ups:
1) ISP Theta Pro for all my recording which provides me with cab sims for my heavy tones, and those non-cab sim direct cleans ala Alex Lifeson via PRESTO and HOLD YOUR FIRE. Really hear the 'spank' of the strings with the direct cleans... LOVE IT.
2) ISP Theta Combo and Vector 2x12 for my 'real' amps with some effects.
My question is how do I get close to that direct clean sound through my regular guitar speakers (the Combo and Vector both have Celestion Alnico Creams - hands down my favorite guitar speakers with the Celestion 65 Creambacks). I've listened to some vids of the acoustic simulator pedals, but it's a little to close to an actual acoustic sound rather than mimicking that direct to the board sound... any ideas of what pedals/effect could get close to that sound on my amps?
Just curious... I get great clean tones with the amps, but missing that direct sound and just looking for suggestions that might approximate it more... any and all thoughts appreciated!
