I mostly do not really care for those. I like the dirty clean sound on the first Hendrix record and that probably was not even a Marshall.
If it was, it was not pushed to the limit.
Those sounds that come out of an amp which is being pushed into distortion in the power tubes are out of control and the bass turns to mud.

Yes
It is easy to do that. If you have the wrong amp or other gear.
ACDC, Scorpions, Judas Priest, Who, Tool, etc are all bands that used power amp overdrive extensively.
Power amp overdrive is a lot more dynamic than preamp distortion. But it requires the right technique and gear.

Aren't those legendary sounds PI-saturation mostly?
Neil Young might be power amp "distortion". But I am not a technician...

Well power amp distortion for sure since they are not linear by any means.
Power tubes clipping, Well they start to saturate at some point, but usually with the old NMV Marshall the Phase Inverter adds some more clipping before the Power tubes start to saturate, but this also depends on the output of the Pickup.

Phase inverter distortion is part of power amp distortion. Since the phase inverter is part of the power amp.

Any time you experiencing poweramp overdrive there is going to be preamp distortion also in a guitar amp.

But the roar, dynamics saturation of the power tubes and transformers has its own character.

Obviously preamp or power amp distortion can sound like shit. There is endless examples of both.

not for me, but i don't use the same cab...

i don't know. i think it's modded as superlead and he is using it for the high end?

I’m not sure but that what I wound do here

yes looks suspiciously dark, but somehow the red ch3 indicator is a bit more red than the others...
anyway, his usual settings are still visible:)
The amps appear to be switched on. But nothing is lit on the amps or the rack.

I was just pointing out that what you're hearing is not the rig. Probably a capture of his rig tho.

Diezel on . The buttons are proper for being on. I’m looking at my vh4 right not to be sure

Yep and Marshall down/down is ON/ON. That was the first thing I noticed other than nothing being lit. Weird. Probably Adam just having fun.

but how does he get his Feedback then?
I don't think it's from the monitors...

i guess so, it was more a rhetorical question for @SpiderWars if he thinks it's a capture, how he thinks he get's his feedback...
I can see the 3ch indicator shinning red so the VH4 is on.
The Superbass has maybe a defect Powerlight or it was indeed not connected to the Power, but why would he go thru all this hassle and ship it to England and then don't use it, just to fool some gear geeks???
