So I've been on tour for the last two months. My 9-to-5 is guitar teching for a classic band that's still touring. Great bunch of guys, but that's another story.
I've spent two months stringing guitars, setting them up, repairing them, etc, and no time actually playing them. so I downloaded some backing tracks once I got home and decided to jam along and attempt to revive my fingers, my brain, and update my repertoire with things I'd absorbed on the road watching some truly badass individuals along the way.
I'm not only a blues guy, but it is a large part of what I do. I spent all last year touring as guitar player for a well-known blues artist. I'm constantly updating my approach and trying new stuff, as I think we all should be.
I jammed along with this track, just improvising. At first Im kinda uncomfortable soloing over a lifeless recording, but near the end you may be able to hear me getting into it a little more. All in all, a good exercise. Any comments or critiques are welcome.
