After playing for 26 years I bought my 1st Flanger.......

..........and I LOVE it. Picked up a Boss BF-2 on the cheap and really dig it. I either used effects for a real subtle, you barely know it's on, effect or a really heavy, what is that?, effect.

I've found that I like it set for subtle chorusing effect more that any chorus pedal I've ever owned. It sounds huge. Very spacious.

Anyway, I just found it fascinating that after all these years I picked one up and really love it.

And, why is it that after all these years and all the boutique pedals that I've owned that everything I have these days is Boss and MXR? Of course my boost pedals are high end, but modulation is all Boss and MXR. Crazy.

That's the only one I have as well. I don't use it much but when I need to it does the job well.

I have a MIJ Boss Flanger but i really want the Strymon Orbit Flanger. That thing sounds awesome.

I got rid of all my modulation for a flanger too. I love it. I was using it as a subtle chorus but now im using it as a uni vibe type sound. Im rockin a BYOC Flanger

flanging is my favorite effect. i've had a few, and they're all different.

i've had: hbe frostbite, ibanez airplane (paul gilbert), mxr 117

have: 2 ada flangers, boss bf-3

the boss flanger is killer. yes, it sounds digital and processed, but i like the fact that it sounds like a synth vs. the analog sounds. it's cheap enough to keep around and really cuts for the unchained thing.

I swing both ways when it comes to analog/digital. I like both. I subscribe to one isn't better than the other. Just different.

I dig that Frostbite because it does all the tripped out stuff as well as a standard flange/chorus effect.

Just watched a YT video of that flange. Very strange and interesting flange tones. Cool stuff!
