Afwayu vs Aldrich

I've got a Suhr Aldrich in my LP Standard. It's a great sounding pup but a little stiff/tight on the bottom end for my taste. I've been thinking about trying out an Afwayu. How do they compare? Also, how would the Hell Baby and Solution compare to the Aldrich? Are they more like EMG's?(I hate EMG's) I definitely want to score a Motor City pup. His prices are very reasonable and he's a small American business. I'm all about that. :thumbsup:
 
I've had both Afwayu's and Aldrich's in different guitars. Afwayu's have more bass and don't seem to be as scooped as the Adrich. The Solutions are a little higher gain and more compressed, much more like an EMG than the Afwayu. I definitely prefer the Afwayu's over the other 2.

If you think the Aldrich is too tight in the lows, then you probably won't like the Afwayu better. In my opinion when comparing them side by side, the Afwayu is more tight than the Aldrich and is very dry sounding and mean. Not a bad thing at all, but that's the way it's voiced.
