Agile guitars...........I am shocked !!!

I have an Agile Ghost, and I like it. The neck profile is similar to my Gibson LP Standard. The stock pickups aren't that great, but that is an easy enough fix.

I never played one but a buddy of mine at work bought one and had it shipped to the office. I was pretty impressed with the quality for the price, was bummed it was a lefty cause I couldnt play it

As far as Korean made guitars go, imho they ARE the new MIJ today. I have a couple BC Rich Mocks (Special X and SL) and they are great guitars sans the the pots and switches (pickups were ok but I swapped them out)

I agree with the statements about MIK being essentially the new MIJ. If wood sources became less sketchy and everything shipped with good electronics (as many do these day) it is totally there.

I know they get a lot of hate (at HCAF at least, don't know about here) but my Korean Schecter plays great and hangs with every Japanese and American guitar I've played

If I were to tune down to Drop A# would the guitar hold up well? I'd use 12-13 gauge but I see they're scale length is 24.7 which is an inch less than I'm used to.

I wonder how that one would compare to the Epiphone LP Floyd they just released?

A friend of mine has 2 8-string Agile guitars that I thought sounded ok. If he had a better amp other than a POD, I'm sure it would've much more impressive to me.

That LP copy looks killer! I think I'm gonna try out that same model! $400 isn't that bad at all!

I have a 3100 slim profile with the MCP Jerry Cantrell sig pup in the bridge. Awesome guitar. Can't say enough about it. Finish is 100% flawless, plays like a dream, sounds killer

Rondo has ATA Flight Cases molded for the AL/LP guitars for only 100 bucks.

i have one of the agile PRS style guitars .. it is neck through custom order they built back when they still did that and it plays like a freakin dream. it is usually the first guitar i grab when i go to play and i have quite a few. i posted it up for sale recently but thats only because i dont like red guitars and just cant seem to get past the fact it is red .... these guitars really are a steal at the prices they sell for.

I have the same model, but with a hardtail. I think I paid $250 for it back in '03 or '04. I'll admit I didn't care for the pickups much, so I replaced them with a gibson 500T and 490R. Its a great playing guitar. Makes me wonder if the newer pickups are better.

Just an update.........I love these pickups

I've used numerous pups in my LP's.......Afwayu, Godwood, BBQ, Emerald, Duncans, Dimarzios, etc, etc,.......
There is some kind of MOJO in these.

I'm still looking for something that bothers me. Even the slim neck is growing on me.

which model is yours ?? this one is a ps970/4000 hybrid. i dont know what the stock pickups sound like, cuz it has dimarzio's in it now from the previous owner

i know what you mean. i was looking at one too and would get the agile over the real thing just because of the bang for the buck. hopefully it works out and you get it. you definately wont be dissapointed
