I'm waiting for it... :codeak: :codeak: :codeak: :codeak: :codeak: :codeak: :codeak:

Anyway... I've seen lots of these go through various music shops around me. I've seen many reviews on youtube etc... But what is the REAL deal with these? I am sure there are some guys here that own them.

Most of them I have seen LOOK like a nice quality build... But do they last? My concerns would be binding, frets and fretboards lifting as well as the neck joints on the set and neck through construction guitars being sketchy...

I want to pick up a nice 7 string and a noodler LP type... These are what I was looking at

and

Will I be kicking myself 5 or 6 years down the road with these? I don't really ever sell guitars so I kind of want something that will last construction wise even if the electronics are junk.

When they were moving from Jersey I went there and pucked out a couple.
I got a 3100 goldtop with p-90's it was sweet.
Also a 820 semihollow that was very well made.

I would be willing to bet that this would be the one forum that doesn't have one guy with that 7 string.

The guys on SSO are HUGE fans of these....I haven't really heard of people keeping them around for a long time, but there's one Septor over there that's been changing hands for years.....I think it's a 2001(?) and I've lost track of how many times it's been sold, played, loved, and then put back on the market.....not because it's a bad guitar, dudes just move on to 8s or to different 7s. It's up for sale right now, but that's a LOT of previous user stank.

General consensus is that it's mostly hit and sometimes miss....they have a bomb return policy though. Try it; if you hate it send it back.
That 7 looks classy as fuck; almost exactly what I'm looking for in a 7 except for the price.

I had this semi-hollow 12-string. I recently sold it to help me towards a Les Paul, tho. It really was a nice guitar. I was very impressed with how well made it was. Will it last? Didn't have it long enough to know. I bought it used, but I have no idea how old it already was. Worst case scenario, you won't be out much money on one.

I have 3.

Their first run 7 string with DiMarzio Blaze pickups.

Their Dauntless, LP clone with EMG Hz pickups. It is legitimately one of the FASTEST necks I haev played in my life! :shred:

Their PS970, PRS clone that I put a Tone Zone in the bridge and an Air Norton in the neck.

They are a great value for a production run. IDK if I would put the coin into a "custom" one though, I mean the price is near a Carvin but the Carvin is made in America and not a slave labor camp in China like Agile.

Agile are made in Korea not China.

I have a decent amount of the LP copies. When you get a good one they are great guitars for the money. If you get a bad one (which happens) you just send it back on their dime. Its pretty no risk. If you hate it but its not screwed up you send it back on your dime for a refund of the guitars price.

I love em because it gives me a chance to have a decent amount of guitars with different pickups. Also if one gets dented, scratched, etc...well it's not as big of a deal as it happening to an expensive one.

For a little porn...some of mine are pictured in this thread...

I had a 7-string that was just amazing for the money. one of the best 7 string neck i ever played, not as chunky as Schecter, but not as thin as Ibanez, just right in between. The finish was great too.
I regretted selling it, but at the time it wasn't getting much use and I needed some new gear. I would buy it again if opportunity arise.

I had this one a while back... It was very well made and sounded great after changing the pickups. I bought it brand new from Rondo about 8 or 9 years ago for $249. I just sold it last year and it was still in excellent shape. The only reason I sold it was because I just couldn't get used to the fat neck on it (similar to a Gibson 50's neck). I prefer slim necks.

I have an 8 string Pendulum Pro.
Its a great playing guitar. The pickups are good, not great but nothing that a little eq couldn't fix.
As far as quality mine seems to a very nice fit and finish. There's no frets hanging off or finish/hardware issues.
For the money they are really hard to beat.

Seems like a very honest company... I feel a little more comfortable getting at least the 7 string... I'd still like a Voodoo LP instead of the Agile 3100... But those are SO hard to find!!!

I had a 3100 LP for a while. Nice guitar with no flaws in construction. I looked and expected some, but there were none. Pickups and electronics were passable, but I changed them. I like my Gibson LP better, but it is no leaps and bounds better. Agiles are a great bang for the buck. Buy from Rondo, great place.

I've had 3 of their LP copies, the 2nd was my favorite (it was refretted by my local tech wizard, then fell out of my guitar stand and broke the headstock).

One of the main selling points for me is that they have models with 1 3/4" width at the nut. It's more comfortable. Unfortunately, Agile LP's are heavy, which plays hell on my shoulder injury. I'm going to have sell some gear and get a PRS SE Korina.

I've had their Explorer copy for about a year now. I opened it up for Christmas last year, fresh out of the box it shipped it to find that it was perfectly in tune. For a sub $400 guitar it's pretty fantastic. It's by far the heaviest guitar I've owned. Luckily, I don't play out much these days so it's not really an issue. The pickups are usable, but I'm gonna throw in a pair of EMGs when I have some time.

For the budget I don't see many other companies able to beat them.

 Thanks for the help guys... Can't wait for tax season... Will be getting the 7 for sure... Possibly the LP knockoff as well, though I am eyeing a Desert Burst LP Standard too :worship:

Maybe Schecter?

With experience in all three, I would say Schecter and PRS SE's both edge out Rondo Agile stuff. But Agiles are by no means bad instruments, and if they have that special spec you're looking for, they're a good way to go.

Agiles are MiK and MiC now.

Regardless of which Asian sweatshop, the $ they're asking for in the custom runs aren't worth IMO when Carvin is available.

Now the production runs, MiK or MiC, are AWESOME values! My 3 are awesome guitars!
