How's it sound? Does it let you dial mids out if it's too much? I'm not a tubescreamer fan, but the ability to dial the mids in/out would be a good feature!

Yeah it's basically an integrated parametric EQ for the mids. One knob controls your mid frequency, the other lets you boost or cut that frequency. Sounds great! Really angry.
