I saw that - congrats on the gig.. one of about 4 guys that I know of that would do that role true justice.

I liked it knowing it’s Al. Even though Dave sounds sub par back from his hay day it’s still to me would be hitting the Big Time to playin his band. Guy is a legend.

...same here. it's awful what time does to us (all)...along with copious amounts of alcohol,,, and a sizable Pharma plant worth of pills and such... :aww:

but Damn Al is just killer ain't he...

I called that one. Dave Friedman mentioned hearing the new band rehearse on an episode or tone talk but Al had not been announced yet.

I was the first one to comment that I'll bet it'd Al Estrada.

Always loved Al's playing and I'm sure it was cool to jam with DLR even though he's a bit different now. Would love to hear a story/tidbits about the performance if he sees this.

Al and the band sound great.

I never thought when I saw Van Halen a few years ago that DLR could sound worse or more lounge lizard.....I was wrong. Sings the second verse twice, sounds like a strangled cat in parts, does a goofy lounge act. Now he is skipping lyrics ala' Vince Neil.

It is awesome Al got the gig though!

You get a gold star

Al and the band are killing it! Roth is fucking terrible, I mean beyond terrible. I initially thought this was one of those video's where someone altered it for humor's sake. Sadly it is not.

Well, I thought a VH reunion tour was axed due to Ed's health or maybe revenue-sharing disagreements with Mike. But Dave has clearly provided the most believable reason - he not only can't sing anymore, he's gotten a lot worse since the last time he showed the world he can't sing anymore. All honor to the immeasurable VH legacy, but it's time for Dave to retire.

Al sounds awesome. Seems like a super cool gig, playing VH and DLR...in Vegas.

Dave just doesn't seem like a rocker. There are rock stars that are always rock stars like Lemmy, Hetfield, Slash, etc. that will always be rockers. Dave just seems to have transformed.

As in transitioned?

Man, i never thought Dave coukd get this bad, very sad. He should hang it up and try and save his legacy, damn. At least put some effects on the voice or something. This was unwatchable. This can't be him.

But Al and the band where fucking amazing!!!!!! Al's got THA feel!!!!
