Watched dance the night away. Good lord. Ace that from the set please. Thought a cat was getting raked over hot coals.

My god, watched a bunch of videos. Worst than i thought even possible.

How can he not hear himself sound this bad? I am speechless.

He is destroying my youth man, he has to stop.

In my book, Dave is done.

Damn, that's really bad from Dave. Can't believe people pay money to listen to that. Funny enough, after that video, YouTube started playing Highway Star by Chickenfoot. Sammy still sounds great.

Hey Eddie! Give Sammy and Anthony a call and make that world tour happen!

There comes a point in time where you should listen to your rehearsal recordings to see if you need to keep rehearsing to get the song right. Apparently DLR didn't get that memo.

Band sounded great, though!

Van Halen will never be again. Glad I saw them on their first reunion tour. Dave wasn't too terrible. I cannot even listen to these videos now.
He should have stopped 5 years ago and saved face. He wasn't great on that Jumstart tour I saw him on ,but now... I don't know what the fuck that thing is.

The music sounds fabulous! Al's playing is spot on as always!
The singing? Well....I think everyone else summed it up nicely.

Band sounds great!

DLR should have retired 10 years ago. He should have been wearing his jammies and bathrobe with all of that shuffling around up there. WTF??

Wait, this is a joke right? Someone tell me it's a joke......

I don’t understand why he doesn’t just stay in his lower range. Within all the horrible vocals in Dance The Night Away there are glimpses of the old Dave. Clearly there’s a reason and it’s probably as simple as his voice is just outright blown, but if he could pull off the low voice he was known for it would be alright.

Roth is one of my all time faves but there’s no argument to defend his vocals at this point.

I would have thought it was one of the components inherent in his vocal material that put Dave near or on the map, at that time. I love Dave - all time (despite his antics). Without Dave, there is no Van Halen. Hate me if you want to but Hagar always reminded me of Bette Midler in drag and his voice when Dave's voice was at his prime couldn't carry popfrickencorn.

You be the judge?

I thought his stage presence and nuttiness was great back in the day and have given lots of slack even in recent years because like you said, I see him as an integral piece of the VH puzzle that changed the rock world.

At some point shortly after the first two DLR albums he started doing that strained high register voice. I really miss that low DLR voice...

one of about 4 guys that I know of that would do that role true justice.

That kid Jacob Deraps would be one of them for sure....totally has the whole complete Eddie thing nailed.

This exactly. He knows he sounds that bad
, Ed knew he sounded bad and relseases live in Tokyo, what a shity way to leave stains on the phenomenal work that was done late 70s early 80s, DLR had issues then. Nothing like this tho. He just couldn't keep up and was sloshed as well

God bless Mick. I have to learn that little dance one of these days.
