He's a cool dude, met him and Eric Peterson (His other half in Testament) many times. Outstanding player, really opened my musical ears when I was a 14 year old thrash or die kid... Blew my mind in a time where if it wasn't Slayer it wasn't worth listening to that the lead player in Testament also played jazz... My little metal head couldn't handle it!

Yeah, he is cool. I met him at a small bar in Chicago where he was playing with the Alex Skolnick Trio. He has been one of my fav players in the thrash realm. I also saw him many times since he rejoined Testament and also when he played with Savatage. His own band Exhibit A also warmed up for Savatage on this tour.

Just ordered the book using my Amazon Prime account, should have it tomorrow. Looking forward to reading it, Skolnick is a monster player.. Always loved his lead playing on the early Testament records.

No idea he played with Savatage... The fact he also does stints with TSO easily makes him one of my favorite players still, even though I've fallen off the thrash til death wagon he still pops up in areas that are right up my alley lol
