All true about the Cali refineries, but that doesn't let DJT off the hook. I guess that Valero refinery that is being shut down is one the newest in the US and one of the few that make gasoline to the California smog standard and from what I have read no other oil companies want to step in an buy it so Valero is walking away willing to incur a 1.1 Billion dollar impairment charge just to be able to walk away.

I wonder if Valero has to decomission/dismantle the plant or if it is going to become another EPA RCRA site where the taxpayer has to pay for the cleanup????????????? These companies always seem to be able to put their cleanup on the US taxpayer, there seems to be pattern here.

I guess that's one way to force people buy EV's huh.
