Suhr's are great I love them all but,... you guys ever play a Tyler? The shmears may not be for everyone but he makes plain colored ones and fancy wood tops too. Hands down the best guitars I have ever played. Super phat for a strat and the necks are to die for whether you want fat and chunky, '59 or thin V shape. Subtle scalloping on the edges of the necks as well as a host of options, on-board mid-boost, blower switch, add bridge switch, the list goes on. You LA guys (I dont live there anymore  ) really shoulod go check him out.

Here is the Alien Guano SE, I also have a Malibu Beach Shmear Classic.

I love these as well! Too many cool guitars to own these days!

So thats what alien bat poop looks like. Tylers are killer guitars, sounds great, however I can't get used to the Chunkier necks :( They sound amazing though.

(barf!!!!)

looks like a botched RG550 project with an RX20 tremolo.

Is that seriously the stock pickguard?

LOL.

No offense to the OP. I just realized it's actually your guitar.

I've only seen one Tyler in my life - a burning water at a guitar show. It was pure, unadulterated sex. The neck, the rounded-over fretboard. Sick sick sick. Suhr is on my mind more because I own one and see them more often. But I would love to have a Tyler. And I have been rounding over the fretboard on the Esquire I'm building because of that one guitar I saw however many years ago....

One of the worst headstocks ever. They're so horrendous it just kills the rest of the guitar. I'm sure they play and sound awesome though, but I couldn't deal with that headstock. I'd rather have an Anderson or a Suhr.

Can always use it as a paddle, multi-use guitar :)

Was waiting for someone to point that out.

I'm sure they play like a buttered up eel, and I'd love to try one out! I have really fallen in love with Suhr, I really prefer their looks over Tyler. Finishes aren't that important to me, but the headstock is quite a big deal, IMO.

They're like the butterface of the guitar world, next to Craparison of course.

The Caparison headstock is a million times better looking than the Tyler abomination. At least they only have the brand name printed one time on the headstock...and it actually suits the guitars.

no probs at all, its supposed to be ugly. Its supposed to look like poo!

And the fugly headstock? HAHA! The headstock on the guano is ferrari red!  :D    :D

In the immortal words of James Tyler: "Either you know it or you don't"
The headstock is totally Tyler in a "I don't give a fucking crap" way and I love it.
I'm also pretty sure that the size and weight of the headstock contributes to the tone of these guitars.

I love my Tylers and got rid of a bunch of guitars when I got them. The necks are incredible and they have THE tone for me.

Pics are old, the Burning Water has a different pickup now, didn't care to much about the JB Trem in the pic and replaced it with a Tyler/SD Landau Secret Humbucker. Both have the same specs but sound pretty different.

So, what? Did the jig break when it came to make the headstock?

I'm sure they're great guitars but that headstock is horrible. It wouldn't stop me from owning one though.

I played one locally...the headstock looks worse in person :(
