-does a guitar neck bother you so much it would be a deal breaker?..... that the "wrong" neck configuration/size makes the guitar completely unplayable to you??..

-this subject has always seems odd to me,.. the only time a neck has even gotten my attention was on a classical guitar and on the 2 FENDER's I once owned,.. but neither was a case of "pffffffffff!!! this neck is horrible!! there's no way in hell I can cope with this firewood!!!"

-maybe it's the size of my enormous man hands!!

-REACTION-

I have smaller hands. Yes, all guitar necks are playable. It's just that some are more comfortable. After awhile of playing certain necks my hand will start cramping etc...
I use a guitar with a more narrow nut width and a more comfortable profile and I can play comfortably all day long.
It's all subjective. No right or wrong in this.

Its a deal breaker for me personally , comfort is number one and while i might take an Hour to tell if I like an amp , I can tell in 5 minutes if a guitar will work.

Yup, comfort thing for me. Big fat necks with wide nut widths? Nope. Super thin Ibanez necks? Nope. Shit makes my hands cramp up.

I like ESP necks, I really like EVH guitars and I dig on Charvels and PRS wide/fat, because despite the description they're neither.

Les Paul 60's neck.

Charvel compound radius.

Ibanez Wizard necks.

12 inch radius and im good.

Neck shape didn't used to be an issue for me. But once I found my favorite carve,i became picky about it. Only two of my guitars don't have "my" neck profile, the others that do get way more play.

Yes, I don't like the super thin "shred" necks. So far my favorite neck shape is the Charvel "prepro" thicker shape. Fits my hand perfectly.

-i really didn't expect this kind of response,.. it was just a TGP mockery,.... I've had a lot of guitars and only one time did I say to myself "hey!!.. I like the feel of this neck!!"-(late 80's JACKSON SOLOIST)-I just adapted without even thinking about it... I hear all these neck spec's and I pay zero attention to them.... I thought others were the same way...

I have no problem playing on any neck, however, I can say I do have a preference. There is nothing wrong with preferring something.

So you come here to mock something and then are surprised at the feedback? Go figure...

With the various shapes and sizes of guitar necks, why not get one that you get along with? Why settle?

Carry on

More like flabbergasted!!!!... Swadozuled!!!!....

-sorry ma'am,.... but it's common knowledge that TGP is free game for any slanderous, vile, character assasinations at anytime, anywhere!!!!....

-thank god we live in the USA,.. the land of free will-(& neck choice)-!!!

Yup, Mynexred! 'N yeah Chesty.. we have fun that way!! Makes life a little more interestin' for the rest of yew city sleeickers..

But yeah, I don't like trying to get my shred on.. using a louisville slugger.. unless it's got double D's

Got Day yum bourbon's... AWESSOME!!

I've played sopme nice sounding gitars But the neck was too round. I guess a C shape. Made my thumb bnd too much. I think I prefer more of a flatter back.. So.. correct.. A Gibson SG is perfect
