I think I’ve come up with a very viable alternative solution to using superglue and baking soda to repair Guitar nuts.
I found that mixing some ultra cheap eBay special Chinese dry lubricant, i.e. pulverized graphite, Bucky balls… and mixing it with Loctite gel superglue creates a very, very, very strong substance. It’s not brittle and apparently doesn’t crack, chip or flake, but it does in fact cut cleanly with a slot file… I tested piece of pre slotted scrap lumber on anvil with a 2# sledge hammer and it didn’t even budge. It mixes like clay and needs a while to cure.
