The guy is asking for you to cash a check for $1990 for a $200 item, says he'll pay $30 more and wants you to send him the balance. Doesn't exactly take a genius to figure this one out...

Yeah, Ive had this response and lately I just reply with "Sorry, Sold already". But I leave the ad up on Craigslist. They dont bother me anymore once I respond with that.

But I have some other preferred payment options.

1. I accept PayPal if you currently have an Acct.
My paypal acct is **Edited Acct**

2. If you'd like to overnight payment, I'd prefer you use a Postal Money Order or Cashiers Check.
But if you still want to send a check, I'll have to wait until payment clears before I agree to send the Case.
If you can agree to this, I have no problem taking the Ad down and giving you my Address.

Once you recieve it , take it to the bank and deposit it, and once you get the money , remove the money for your item and you are to send the rest of the funds to the agent of the shipping company and the shipping company will come to pick up the item.ok

1. Which bank will Funds be dispersed from?
2. Which shipping company will you be using?
3. Please provide me any References you have to confirm I am not being Frauded.
4. What is the name of your Company?

I have not heard back from this guy in the past 1.5 hours...who was previously very prompt in responding!
Should I not even trouble myself with this, and cancel the sale??
