Am I retarded? Les Paul pot mounting plate.

Hey guys,

I have an '04 Les Paul Standard and am trying to remove the bridge volume pot. I've unscrewed everything from the body side and she won't budge. Do I have to take that whole metal mounting plate thing off!?

Oy. Help is appreciated!

You have to remove all the knobs and remove all 4 mounting nuts and take the plate out with all 4 pots attached. The pots are nutted to the metal plate so it must come out to get to the top nut. It's easy.

Ah ha, makes sense! Still a bit cumbersome and annoying. Meh, it came off fine so no worries.
