Amp crackle question

Thanks for mentioning that i went ahead and ordered all new tubes. Im only going to start with the power tubes and see where that gets me. Im 90% sure its a bad power tube

i'd check in that order, regardless of what you can "see how" or not "see how" :)

What are you getting at yeti? Thank you for your guidance. Anything else?
 
did you try switching out your phase inverter preamp tube with a known good preamp tube?

Phase inverters technically, i guess you'd say are part of the preamp, but also contribute everything from the preamp into the power tubes. laymans terms of course.

weird shit can happen when one of those, or a side of it is wonky. usually, it's the tube closest to your power tubes.
 
yeah i got a balanced pre coming in for the phase inverted slot. I will know shortly when i get my new tubes. I know if anyone knows anything about this but i noticed you can hear a kinda harmonic rubbing noise when i raise and lower the resonance control. Not sure if thats connected to the pre or the power section. Ill report back!
