Amp fest / jam last night Awesome !!

This is what I'm talking about. More member jam sessions (not sexual...mostly)

In my brief experience with my 2 Egnater Vengeances (Stripped down, 2 ch version of the armageddon) I found that it was an amp that needed volume to sound good. It didn't have the high end bite I like unless you really cranked it. Other than that, it was a dry, tight and dynamic amp. Almost reminds me of the feel of a VHT.

Ya I was impressed with it for real.
Hadn’t played it in over a year. Really shocked me.
Actually got it from Jeff Hilligan (ex-egnater) when we did little amp fest at my place couple years back.
It sounded massive last weekend.

Any memory or pics of settings on the Archon that got close the VH4 sound. Have been considering an Archon for a while and now even more so..thanks!

It’s pretty straight forward on settings.
Damn near set it all at noon.
Small tweaks. It’s just voiced like the VH4 (least to me and the 5 other guys in the room)
When we did the A/B blind test.
They couldn’t tell them apart.

My friend Scott brang his EVH Wolfgang over. Stock pickups.
Man that thing just GROWLED compared to my kamikaze with the x2n pickup.
It sounded FANTASTIC!
Lower output pickup in high gain amp!
Wow!!!
So used to playing my guitar.

Very nice to hear that side of the set up.
My guitar is just overwhelming at times.

My Evh Wolfgang really hits hard through mailman’s rig!It really growls through Mailman’s Engl poweball jacked into my Evh 2x12! I’m playing It all the time now...,look forward to every time I plug it in!
