Well, I am looking to add another amp to the mix.

To be clear … I don't need another amp AT ALL! My B+ QR is just nailing every tone I have wanted but I am thinking I want to be able to add another flavor.

I have been leaning towards a KT88 loaded Nitro or Super Com (which is the Nitro dirt channel). I don't need another Marshall inspired amp as I have that ground perfectly covered.

No Recto's please. Been kind of interested in the Diezel stuff, loved my Fryette Sig: X and Deliverance, never tried any of the Mark series amps. I have also been VERY keen on a Kemper as I do a fair amount of corporate gigs and am currently running a Digitech RP1000 with a powered wedge direct to FOH. It literally takes me 8 minutes tops to set up.

I am a metal guy for sure. Anything from Dokken to Zyklon (hair to brutal death metal).

Shiva 20th with KT88s?
Literally have never played through a Bogner. Folks that know me say a Shiva would make me smile. Didn't know they made a KT88 version.

Go for a VHT deliverance. You can find them relatively cheap.

Not sure how much gain you want. Check out some Bogners if you can. Another amp that is great for clean to hardrock is a Budda SD80. Elmwoods are pretty cool and can be had for reasonable prices used.

The Diezel Herbert and
Bogner Uberschall always
sounded Killer with a Quickrod.

I bought a Peavey 5150 and ran it in stereo with my Quickrod. They complimented each other perfectly imo. Tight dry punchy and clear with the QR and a little fizzy saturated buzz saw with the 5150.

I miss that tone :(

I tried a nitro in stereo with a quick rod as well as a Marshall, 5150, roadster, Randall rm100 with just about every module and the best, full sounding, complimentary combination was a 90s dual rectifier with the quick rod fwiw.

I would say Diezel D-Moll if you can swing it. On a budget, maybe a Carvin Legacy. Under $500 used and I have no clue but the smooth and darker Legacy could possibly offset the QR well.

Some of my favorite Splawn clips are Windsen's where he is blending his Qr and Nitro.
