Anyone having transformer issues with Bad Cat amplifiers?

This is the second "Bad Cat" transformer thread today. What problems are you having?

^ japetus - are you referring to his other thread potentially in our 'Thread for fallen members' subforum? Either way, I directed him here as I figured it would get the most exposure. I'm going to guess that he/she does not speak fluent English.

@Discardedvinyl76 - what exactly happened and how do you know it is a transformer?

Whatever it was, my first place to look and troubleshoot is the tubes (power, then phase inverter, then preamp)

Had it for one week, never pushed it. Last week, first gig with it, it just cut out. No sound. Took it back the. Took it back to where i got it. They said bad cat had a batch with bad transfers. Semding me a brand new one supposedly

Oh yeah. That's possible. I believe I may have heard of that issue before but not certain. I didn't know Bad Cat still had new production amps.

I played a Bad Cat a long time ago. Top Hat or something like that. It was a 40 watt'ish combo. Curious if the reseller diagnosed it as a transformer, or just made a knee jerk decision and sent it back based on rumor/hearsay? Did they tell you how long it will be? I hope it is not some 4 - 6 week bullshit.

I mean this sucks but as long as they are taking care of it then just send it back and give them a benefit of a doubt.
