Hello,
I recently read about an amp on which each of the TMB tone knobs acted as a volume control, but only for its frequencies. When all three of the knobs were turned down, there was no sound. I can’t remember what the amp was. Does this ring a bell for anyone?

Thanks! sounds like it’s not a unique feature. Sorry if this is a dopey post. 🤣

It is not a dopey post..... I think a lot of people give up on Boogies because some of them are not a set at noon and go from there amps. It took me some time to figure this out for myself. :giggle:

This tonestack doesn't independently handle each frequency like I think you're describing, but it does go to zero with everything off: https://www.guitarscience.net/tsc/f...&C3=47n&RB_pot=LogA&RM_pot=Linear&RT_pot=LogA

You can make a Marshall style tonestack do the same by rewiring the mids pot as a variable resistor instead of a potentiometer. Pretty easy mod, even with a PCB. Just gotta bridge two pins on the pot.
