I am servicing an Ampeg Vh140C and the fuse blew. Surprisingly it was a 6.25A 250V fuse and looks to be slo-blow. This seems really high to me. I checked the service manual and it does not list the fuse value or type.

The amp has listed near the power input 500W, 120V, 60Hz.

Any help would be appreciated, a google search has come up empty.

I actually have the original owners manual from mine - I'll look for it and see if it says in there.

Edit:I dunno if this helps you any or just tells you what you already knew. I could always just pull the fuse in mine out too and check if (if that's possible...I'm not very well versed on the technical aspects of amps). I got it from an old dude who bought it new and only ever used it as a keyboard amp. It had been sitting for years, so I assume it has the original fuse.

If you could pull the fuse and snap a picture and let me know its rating, that would be very helpful. From the manual, I am guessing it will be a 6amp fuse, but need to know if it is a slo blow or fast blow. I can tell by looking at this point.

If look at the tech specs above, the domestic amps have power requirements of 6A at 120 vac. 6.2A slo blo seems like it might be right.

Thanks guys, will be tracking down a 6A Slo Blow fuse.
