Worth waiting for the Ampete products IME
I've used them a bunch and dealt with Pete enough to have great respect for his engineering skills
He is one of those people who does things properly without cutting any corners
They cost a bit, but you get what you pay for

Still no clear way to by a 221 in the USA.

Hey Steve this is the reply "We and Ampete currently don't have any on stock. We are waiting for the new production run to be finished which will should be done in about 3-4 weeks from now.
I can keep you updated if you wish so."

So 3 to 4 weeks and I asked him to drop me a line when they come in. Also these guys ship fast, they shipped the same day I ordered thru DHL. Cheers!
Cool - thx. I'm in contact with the designer as well. He is in the states and says he will have one shipped to him for me. We'll see how it goes...

You could try here:

They used to carry stock so you might get lucky :)
Thanks, but they don't have any in stock and more importantly, they don't ship to the US...

nice!

After the new year i will definitely be grabbing the 444...

The ampete 444 looks awesome, but I am not sure I need all that functionality. I already have AB boxes to switch between my amps inputs. the two that have loops, I have a box to switch between the loops, so I am pretty covered there.

Strongly considering this one. http://www.delisleguitar.com/shop/de-li ... lector-v2/

Will allow me to easily connect my Fryette power station between 3 amps.

Wow.. my 444 came in today straight from Ampete in Germany via DHL. I can't believe I ordered it and it is in my hands from Germany to Hawaii in 4 days. I never get gear that fast from continental US lol... now I just need a shit load of cables

Hell yeah man!!! Congrats!

Thanks man!

Hey JerEvil what brand or type of cables do you use to wire your studio up with or with pedal boards etc? I mainly use Evidence monorail stuff but damn, was figuring out the cost and if I stick with that it will be like $300 bucks or so just for all the cables (fx send/in + amp) not including the speaker cables

Looking to see what other people use....

Just grabbed a 444 from Gearhead distribution on Reverb.
Totally pumped to get this delivered and hooked up.
There's an audio parts place walking distance from house that stocks Canare cable, so I have been using the Canare GS-6 for guitar cables and pedal board wiring with Neutrik connectors, so I'll probably just keep rolling with that. They have a Canare speaker cable that I use as well, but not sure of the number.
Gonna head over there today and get some supplies and get busy on fabricating the cables, 'cause I'm gonna need a few
It seems like the cable is cheap enough in bulk by the foot, but the cost of the connectors is what really adds up.

Grats man! Check this out, I just ordered one tonight and already got the shipping confirmation from amazon and hour later. Looks close enough to the evidence audio stuff i'm using for my pedalboard.

Honestly y’all, I use whatever cables are available a the time. I have yet to hear a discernible difference. That said, since I went all “pro” with the studio update I may get some custom cables made to size as to avoid having to cable tie them.

Yup, as long as it's decent quality and not the 30ft "Guitar Center" brand for $5.99, it's all good.
I started buying the cable and connectors in bulk because I was using so much of the stuff and it works out to about 1/2 the price of quality, pre-made cables. And you can have any length you want.

I do the same thing. Plus it's fun to put them together.

I believe with this set up would work. I emailed amPete but I have not heard back yet. Do you guys foresee a problem?

Actually there would be a problem if you are opting for the Ampete 8, it does not have a shared fx loop like the 444. So you would need to either use the PS2 for the fx loop with the delay or put all your pedals in front of the Ampete's instrument input.

So like this most likely. The shared fx loop on the 444 is pretty bad ass, and totally worth it for me.

Thanks. But the PS2 has a great fx loop for delay/reverb fx. I believe it's OK to run the selected Ampete out into the Power Station. But I want to be 100% sure.

Oh yeah you can totally run the Ampete's speaker cab out into the PS2. I run my Ampete444 into my Suhr reactive load.

I might have misunderstood the original diagram. I'm guessing your pedal board runs all in front of the amp and none in the loop? It looked like you had your pedal board connecting to the Ampete 8 directly as in a shared fx loop. I was just commenting that the 8 doesn't have the shared fx loop that the 444 has, if it did I would have gotten the 8 too ;) Having my pedal board run thru all my amps fx loops at the push of a button is the shit.
