In one of the ampshow threads on TGP some old geezer was complaining about a few guys playing too loud and too fast. I wonder if it was that grandfatherly looking guy who walked in the room eating a chicken wing holding a Tele? Remember how he walked right up to the Axe-FX and looked like he was trying to figure it out.

I have not played my Charvel in a month. Only my R8 Les Paul. If only my Charvel could sound like my LP...

Don't they just sound better???!!!

You know my first good electric when I was a kid was a Les Paul... I was 12, and when I got back into playing I swore I would not get one again, because of the weight
And lower fret access, and how thick it was and not comfortable to sit with... So I bought everything but... Charvel, Music Man, BC Rich, Carvin, Fender, and 2 PRS's

I bought a NOS 2006 Custom Classic Silverburst, and really didn't play it... Then I got this LP Standard Traditional Pro, with the Plecked neck, and it just Clicked!

I said MAN... Everything else sounds like Shit compared to this! What have I been thinking?!!

So here I am right back where I started from... Now I don't pickup anything else, and I don't play anything else as Good!

FWIW, I heard thru the grapevine Gibson may have had some sort of serious flood which will be halting production for around 3 months... Hold on to your LP's, as I'm sure theyll be coming out with the Flood Series LP's at 9k apiece...

I'm pretty sure there will be some Cali mods there. Hopefully Dan or Scotty can bring there's and as far as the Hulk, the Natas is like that but on Steroids!! I think you will dig em all!!

Fuquay/Raleigh is 8+ hr drive .. of course AFTER i've moved the dam NATAS shows up ... at least I got to play the HULK MOD ... which i heard the natas is going to be similar too . I am contemplating all this now because My fiances twins are on LI and are out of school that day and do need to be brought down here .... My girl wants to fly them .. but this is almost a good enough reason to go back to NY for a few days LOL ....anyone want to see my old ass ? HAHAHAHA

Hey Greg !!

Its Hot down here and from what i've heard this aint nothing yet !! And thanks to you i'm stuck on V30's and the OD1 RED with a boost to cut and tighten up that channel ... Can't believe how much of a difference the boost cuts OUT the fizz and tightens it all up adds plenty of sustain while retaining the thickness and chunk . Big difference from OD1 orange even at louder volumes ... dam a $40 bad monkey made a HUGE difference !!!! go figure ?!?!? I've even heard someone say that instead of modding , learn how to CORRECTLY boost/cut and you won't need to mod your amp !! My V30's still aren't broken in but sound killler ... Can't thank you enough for showing that stuff about the V30's . After when we hung out I had tried a bunch of V30's and realized that the original Celestion beat out all of the the flavored V30's from ie : marshall , mesa , etc for the JVM .
So ya got a JVM ? im sure you can tweak the shit out of it and get killer sounds ... you have a great set of ears and showed me quite a few things . Well so far things couldn't have been worse to be honest , my girl and i have been through so much shit (but her and i are good) , we were conetemplating moving BACK TO NY ... text me when you get a chance Greg and i'll give you more details ,my cell#'s still the same . On the good side , i've met a guy who's in recording engineering school and is a helluva player and great at recording with protools . He's almost done with a 4 yr degree . He asked me to start a metal band ... ha ! I just might do it ! As much as i hate band situations . Most of the people down here are great also .. so different from LI NY !!
