I would hope no one really thinks a youtube video or any other clip is anything but what it is..... a clip. Judging anything from clips is not very realistic.

Hey guess what I was trying to be nice and post some stuff for guys who are either not in NY or have never even heard a Fortin like myself before the ampfest. Theres alot of speculation and hype over these amps and for good reason, alot of people want to hear them so I took the time to set my camera OUT OF THE WAY so it didnt get knocked over and broken by the 20 guys running around all excited from the amazing amps in a cramped room. So if you base total judgement on buying an amp soley on my lame youtube video than your an idiot I'm sorry...

I figured I would be nice and set my camera up since NO ONE ELSE DID, but guess what you got your wish all the clips will come down and now no one will hear mikes awesome amps

I'm in before you get banned from this moniker and the Drillmarko one.

I did not want to document this ampfest because of the backlash we took from the last one. some people were unhappy with the quality of the clips from the last ampfest and we also had another manufacturer pissed off at us because he felt that his amp wasn't represented well in the clips. We decided at the last minute not to do clips because it was more trouble then it was worth. To add more to the story this is also the prototype for the NATAS and the final amp may or may not sound different, so I didn't see the need to document the prototype.

With that said, Brandon, don't take it personally man. We loved having you there and thanks for even taking the time to post the videos!! If someon wants to judge a possible purchase based on a youtube video that was done in a non controlled environment then I don't know what to say. There will be plenty of clips to come.

On a side note there were many people close that did not make it for one reason or another but never do. I think Brandon and the4lastone can tell others what they thought since they are not part of the same crew if you are looking for another opinion as well as how they were treated, I thought it was very cool that others showed up and I think they had a good time. I don't think Brandon remembered what happened last time when Greg worked real hard to make clips and it sort of blew up in everyone's faces. No doubt there is huge interest in the Natas for multiple sides and I don't blame people for whipping recorders out.

Clips are coming and when I get my Natas anyone is welcome to check it out along with my Cali mod.

First off, anyone who is complaining about clips and videos can suck my cock. Just like it's been said about fifty times before, none of them really do enough justice to the amp. Second off I recorded clips with a real deal interface and a microphone when we were at the ampfest last year, but the horrible electricity and the necessity of 27 faraday cages just to keep guitar pickups from getting some nasty ass buzzing prevented me from doing it again. There's no reason to make serious judgments on recordings that were done in less than ideal circumstances.

There will be some official Fortin Amps recordings come around Christmas time. Then, people can make some real judgments about the amplifier in several musical contexts. I am convinced that Mike Fortin makes some of the best amplifiers on earth, and you're going to hear recordings supporting it sooner than later.

The Natas isn't even 100% completed yet, and it STILL annihilated just about everything in the room for metal music, and DEWD, get your facts straight before you start shit talking like a pre-teen. Gary (thegame) is the one who inspired Mike to take on the Natas design, so the damn thing wouldn't exist if it weren't for him.

This isn't the high school cafeteria, stop the drama. If Fortinfest was that important to you, you should have fucking flown out on a plane or took the drive to make it there.

Just to be clear about what I said about the quality of the clips from the first ampfest, I was talking about the room and the battles you had to go through in order to get them and It was not how they were recorded
I'm pretty sure that you know that but someone reading it might not!
We tried our best last time and that studio is not the place to do clips IMHO. Even with your power conditioner we were still getting feedback and noise from everyones guitar pickups. I know I was getting it from mine and I NEVER get that live or at home with any of my amps!


anyway I had a blast at the fest and video or no video/clips there will be plenty of demos comming soon!!

I believe they act like a buffer for the treble and bass. Almost like a contour switch but I could be wrong. Im sure when Mike get's back from vacation he can tell you or maybe gary(thegame) can!
