Shitcanned my 4 amps starting w/ the YJM100, Landry, Mesa MK V and JVM Satch

I thought I'd hang onto the JVM JS but too many things bothered me and I think in retrospect I liked the original JVM more.

I got a Morris Purplex'd due soon. 3 channels, a Vox style clean and 2 Plexi channels with a switch to lower gain.

A Germino Fillmore 100 being built. Mustard Cap upgrade. My fav era Marshall NMV. Around 1967. No bright cap harsh bs, just pure tone. Perfect pedal amp.

A Hi-Tone Jimmy Page HT50 "JP" the HI-TONE JP50 w/ various upgrades-

NOS Mullard CV4004 for V1:
NOS Mullard CV4024 Phase Inverter
=C= power tubes:

Yowsa! That is some pricey hardware... what didn't you like about the Landry? The JVM satch sounded like a definite improvement to my ears. Any truth to it being like a hot rodded 800 on the orange channel?

nothing worse than being ampless. I was ampless for close to a year and it was a dreadful time for me.

Landry had this glassy sheen on the notes w/ a Strat I didn't like

The JVM Crunch channel- the green mode was lowest gain. It's tone was WAY darker than the Orange and Red modes, rendering it unusable if you were switching from one mode to another. The tones had to be radically adjusted to get rid of the Green mode's darkness.
Orange mode was nice on the Crunch ch. Was hitting it w/ various od's, but my thinkinking was why do I need all the extra modes if I just hang on one mode w/ an OD pedal

I'd love to hear clips from you of the Morris.

I'm looking forward to the amp. Chatted with Glen Morris a few times. Changed from getting the Mojo to the Perplex'd. Asked for these cosmetics although the controls aren't the same as pic

Pft. You're similar to me.
Doesn't matter what amp you use, you always sound the same.

I figured that out a long time ago and have stopped swapping amps.

big swing!

what exactly are you wanting your ultimate amp to sound like?
and what vibe and fuzz are you rocking these days?

Best amp for me is a pedal friendly NMV Marshall. That's why I ordered the Germino Fillmore, essentially a '67 era Marshall.
Jimmy Page's Hiwatt era (69-71) IMO were some of his best tones, hence the Hi-Tone JP model. The Morris is the high gain amp of the 3. That's shipping so I should see it next week.

I got a Castledine and a Vibe-Baby. Korg is coming out with the Nu-Vibe, developed with the Univibe's Japanese inventor.

I got the fuzzes in the pic plus all the Roger Mayer spaceships. All cool, all different

my friend got the ej fuzz and loves it but i have never been lucky with fuzz pedals.
for me it's always too thin or too mushy.

That's my single channel Perplex'd. You're gonna love it.

Never had a Quinn fuzz. The EJ was biased to be sputter. Didn't like it
