i heard the new marshall jtm45 at NAMM and thought it sounded pretty cool.
the quizz clips i heard also sounded nice

as time goes on i become more interested in the JTM45 sound, but my peacemaker is still floating my boat.

The Hand Wired one? I looked at it. The tall headshell and tremolo is a dealbreaker for me. Looks weird. I looked into Mojave as well. Can't believe they aren't more popular. My Peacemaker was a great amp.

my friend got the ej fuzz and loves it but i have never been lucky with fuzz pedals.
for me it's always too thin or too mushy.

did you dump the quinn fuzz?

Never had a Quinn fuzz. The EJ was biased to be sputter. Didn't like it

My EJ was like that too out of the box. Did you try adjusting the trimpot on the board? Took about 5 minutes, most of which was realigning the single screw to get the case back on - and it was smooth city afterwards. Didn't need a meter to measure voltage either, just had it flipped over and play/move the trim pot slightly/repeat until I got what I wanted.

I knew it was adjustable but sold it for whatever reason. If Dunlop makes a "Mini" version of it I'll get it cause I got the others

im headed up to vic's place next week to get my fender combo and bass amp fixed and have the peacemaker checked out by the man. it was the first and only HG mod he has done on a peacemaker so he wanted to see if it was still sounding stable/right to his ears before possibly offering the mod to other PM owners.

still sounds good to me!

and i'm trying to encourage him to complete his 2 channel hiwatt/scorpion amp which he kinda abandoned during the dirty boy thing. my dream mojave would be ch 1 sounding like the plexi45 with NOS glass, and ch2 a cranked peacemaker, but both tones at any volume i desired.

would love to hear some quick clips of your new amps when you get them c-slice!

The economy must be picking up if you can unload those 4 amps without much issue. I stopped buying and selling as much once the economy went south. I learned long ago that no amp is perfect and they all have their quirks. Really like the stable of amps I have now, they are not perfect, but they work for me....
