Hey,

I’ve recently been building a pedalboard and have encountered a noise issue that I can’t get to the bottom of.

When I’m playing it’ll all be fine but then suddenly the signal will crackle and start making a BOOM noise before going away again, this then reoccurs (although I always turn everything straight off as it’s very loud and alarming).

Signal chain:

Guitar - BOSS NS-2 - BOSS SD-1 - BOSS DS-1 - J Rockett Archer to amplifier.

FX loop - MXR 6 band EQ - Catalinbread Talisman reverb

I am using the 4 cable method to link the Boss noise suppressor to the FX loop and pedals out front.

All pedals powered by T Rex fuel tank with isolated power (no Daisy chain)

Thanks for any help.

Josh

I have also checked continuity for each cable and patch cable with my multimeter and they seem fine.

Amplifier is an Orange OR15.

Ok. This is obvious, but plug straight into amp.

If it doesnt happen, add one pedal/patch cable at a time.
