amps that take a bit to dial in

what are some amps that take some time to dial in?

this is to help me eliminate said amps from possible purchase

I do that with my cars...whenever I need new tires I just trade it in

For amps I have owned actually my Marshall 2553 silver jubilee took me longer to dial in than expected. Also, I don't think I spent enough time with the Laney Vh100R to really get it dialed in.

Most amps though take some time to get the hang of things and get over the tweaking with my eyes syndrome....

That's about it.

Everything else can be dialed in about ten seconds.

well the Diezels are quite straight up...put everything to noon and you have a GREAT tone. but it takes a while to move the knobs from 12:00 a little bit here a little bit there to get THE MOST AWESOME TONE.

Bad Cats. Hotcat and Lynx anyway. The controls are incredibly interactive and just a slight move of the knobs can change the tone radically. Once you figure it out though, it's well worth it!

VHT CLX,The tone knobs are really active, then you have the eq "Yikes" that takes awhile but it is worth it..

So mark series it is for me

I agree, the CLX and UL take a while, but can deliver so damn many tones it's sick.
All controls on them especially the EQ can dramatically change your tone.

Ive been dying to try one with a graphic eq but i cant find one anywhere

I don't think it is possible to dial in a good sound from a Krank

to be honest, i disagree, the kranks have made some awesome tones
