Amps with High Gain

I am looking for an amp with a great tone and as much high gain as my Mark V, especially at practice volumes. I am looking for something that doesn't need a boost.

Mark III. Plenty of gain and you already like the Mark tone..and they are reasonable used.

Since I'm assuming you don't just want another mark v (like the 25 watter) what features/sounds do you want that is different? Without knowing anything else I'd also get on the 5150 iii bandwagon.

Aren't you selling your JJ? Your preference is for TJ's right. If it has enough gain what is it you don't like about it the JJ's tone? Maybe we can trade.

I have a Herbert inbound. Hopefully that will be a sound great. I am looking for that to be the gonzo amp. For my more refined amp I am thing about either a Freidman JJ or an Axe FX II?
