Went to a Kenny Chesney concert over the weekend. KC is "ok"... i'm not a huge new or old country music fan...

But..

his guitar players, smoke... Kenny Greenberg, and another dude whose name i struggle to recall at this moment... could really play. and their tones were "right there". Their back line was Marshall heads/cabs, except for a couple Category 5 heads/cabs. I know Greenberg has an old Superlead he plays, but he also plays a custom Cat5, that is supposed to be a hybrid, of sorts, 2 channel Matchless/Twin. The back line amps/cabs could've been for show :dunno:

Greenberg had this AC/DC thing going that was just killer. at one point, toward the end, the band is riffing whilst KC is flirting with the young girls (  ) and the two guitarists just trade licks. I swear Greenberg was mixing in Ac/Dc riffs...thunderstruck really popped. and the other dude, every now and again had an old Ozzy/RR tone...GD it was good to me...

Anyway, just my love of a classic Marsahll'y tone showing up... where i'd least expect it.

An hour long, but if you get to about 24:00 mark, Greenberg is talking amps. And this is couple years old..

Welcome to modern country. It's kinda where all the rock players seemed to have migrated to. ;)
