Ummm... I miss Jake playing with vocalists who could actually sing.

Like Ozzie?

:D

I was thinking more Ray. I think he should hook up with either Robert Mason or Sass Jordan.

Ray was an amazing singer and frontman. That is what is severely missing these days. I guess those days are truely over.
The world changed and everyone is the same. Shame.

I wish Jake had the money to get Jorn Lande to sing for him. I can't even imagine how awesome that collaboration would be.

Let it go jake...

Let go the singer or let go the business ?

I don't see why he cannot continue to make and play music. He's been away from it awhile now. This is still in the early stages, I'm sure it will settle.

Maybe just have to starting doing clinics instead of trying to tour if he can't find/keep a singer

Surely it'd be better to see who's a good fit before you take it out in front of people? All this is doing is making the band seem like an embarrassment...

Couldn't agree more.

It was a good show when I saw him with the last singer though.
It was a also great moment to have him sign my "Bark at the Moon" tour book and an issue of GFTPM.
Got a friend who knows the inside scoop with what's been going on... Basically said Jake's borderline losing his shit with the bottle again, he's formed an alliance with this powerhungry tech of his, and the two of them are making these rash decisions on the fly without too much care or consideration.

That's all I know, and cannot verify the validity of this as it's coming second hand. But where it's coming from is a formidable source who has nothing to gain by telling me this or telling me otherwise. He just said "it's a fuckin' mess...".

:dunno:

If he is doing that, then he's an asshole for sure. If you cannot handle something, then fine. Doesn't make someone less if they know their boundaries and admit it. I call him an asshole if that is the case, because one, he's been down the road before and knows where it leads, and two, a total disrespect to the people ( fans,) that are supporting him. If this is the case and he is choosing to do that, then he will learn the hard way once again.

He's a grown man, he can make his own decisions, and he can live with them too.
He should be really thankful that he got an opportunity to come back.

Given what's gone that would make sense...... especially with Greg leaving.

Struggles to sing bark at the moon
Not a good sign....

Not sure which is worse, the last guy or the new guy

that was chas first show so cut him some slack ... look up all the stuff after that and he is awesome. In fact look around and try and find a bad comment about him after that show......there ain't none

This is from the singers band in the 90s. I had the cassette as a kid and liked it.

Booze, meth, his trailer park betty that he's apparently been down the road with one too many times, and this tech who has a hate on for all band members, but a penchant to be the brown-noser to Jake and partakes in all the nefarious activities.

That's the scoop. And the delay a few months back was J's want to "just party a little bit and put the gigs on the back burner" as he couldn't do both.

Sounds like the "tech" needs to be taken behind the woodshed...too bad. Jake still has the ability to right the ship...we hope.

Yep. And hey, bad habits when they become addictions are fkn hard to break loose from. You lose yourself, you don't own yourself, you don't know who you are or what you're capable of. You seek affirmation. Many if not all the times, from the wrong people in the wrong ways.

Jake's getting on... Period. But he'll accelerate that aging by going back to his old ways. We're all getting older - but if you've got a laundry list of bad habits, hell, knocking those off one by one will stop if not reverse the aging process to a certain extent. Then, clear mind, be refocused on one's passion. That passion will drive the artistry and talent - period.

The drugs and r'n'r lifestyle work when there's plenty of cells to kill - 20s, early 30s... But man, you get up to the 40s and beyond, and you gotta watch that shit - it'll win. I dig and have a lot of admiration for the cats who've rocked it hard in both music and lifestyle back in the day, but can still sling shit with style, poise, grace and surprise today (and hopefully tomorrow!). That's not wussing out, that's loving one's passion for playing more than letting the poisons love oneself.

I can only wish him well. Guy knows how to play, he just needs to get on with it 24-fkn-7.
