It's true, he's one of the worst of the worst. And to top it off the dude doesn't have a funny bone in his body. Reminds me of a restaurant co-owner/host who drinks wine all night, thinks he's entertaining and funny so has to be told he's annoying the customers so then they just make him come in the mornings at 5a.m to slice tomatoes and bitch quietly to himself.

Yeah but he didn't ruin comedy by interjecting politics and he didn't fake laugh like Letterman. I wasn't a huge fan but when you are stuck watching quantum leap re-runs on a fuzzy USA made zenith Leno seems pretty exciting.

What little I've seen of him was never funny. Nothing annoys me more than trying to blow off steam with some entertainment then they gotta interject their political crap into it. Don't really care which side they are taking, I would never do that to someone's night when they just trying to have a good time.

The more natural choice would have been Letterman replacing Carson and put Leno in the Late Night spot. But it all worked out well enough. Leno & Letterman both got their top billing and we got Conan; who I thought was better, for Late Night.
