I picked up a King D live album today. Andy Laroque is such a pimp. I don't know why I haven't stolen more of his stuff.. not too hard to play, but very killer sounding (riffs and leads)

Caparison FTW. :D

i always liked andy's bc riches too. I saw 'em in concert many moons ago and he whipped outa an lp black beauty custom for "come to the sabbath". i shed a tear

Andy is great. Too bad the King had health problems, I really wanted to catch them at the House of Blues.
I caught King Diamond on the Puppet Master tour. That was one of my altime favorite shows. Andy's playing was the shit. He tore it up.

yes he did!!! i caught that tour, also, and it was probably the best King Diamond show that i've seen, since the "Abigail" tour,in '87...i was really looking forward to seeing the show, which was originally scheduled back in April, here in Chicago... :aww:

One of my favorite guitarists.

Has he actually used any kranks live? just curious

I was never a big fan of King Diamond, but I think Andy is one of the most underrated, unappreciated guitarists of the 80's. He had great chops and knew how to use them effectively and tastefully.

...i agree!!!

I'll have to give props as well. Andy is the reason that I picked up a guitar.

Guys, give me a youtube link or something of the definitive Andy Laroque guitar extravaganza so I can hear what you guys are raving about. For years people have said you gotta check out Andy to me but what should I check out? Thanks

Yeah that lick is good. I like the more out of control kinda stuff he does...like when he's just about to make a trainwreck kinda thing.

The best stuff for me are Abigail, Them and Conspiracy.....awesome albums!

If I would have known i would have burned a couple CD's and brought down to the store when I cam down on Saturday to the store.
he always has really good drummers as well. (Micky Dee& Snowy Shaw)

Was just listening to Conspiracy yesterday nad forgot how good an album it was.

Saw them on this tour twice in a week, Country Club in the Valley and down in Orange County

The Country Club is still open? man that place was just the coolest in the 80's!
