posting this before he gets to!

not gonna lie, it sounds pretty freakin amazing... just what I'd imagine a Dumble to sound like. But you can get that tone for <$2000 IMO!

Sounds great, but so do all the other amps in that room. It's good, but it's not worth as much as a sports car. Not even close.

I am unimpressed by the tone.

I am impressed by the chops.

No $50,000 worth of tone, no way!

Does sound pretty sweet though!

Me thinks this amplifier is best left to folks with: "Less Vocabulary" & "More Soul"!!!

Guys, we really need to settle this "not worth 50,000" arguement. Ol fat tits Howard didnt sell them for that much... They're just rare. And like anything else, rarity drives up market value.

Also, pretty sure Andy doesn't like to party.

+1 I never understood why people constantly through that comment out when they hear a Dumble. Neither does a '59 Les Paul sound like $250,000 worth of tone. That's not why people pay the crazy amounts they do for them.

Because it needs an $8000 dollar mic and a $5000 pre to emulate the voice of the amp, properly, but then again, doesn't everything?

I will take the Suhr and you guys can fight over the Dumb-le

What is it with all these folks trying to abscond with Andy's guitars as of late?
:gethim:
:D

I'll take the Dumble and flip it for a high end DAW complete with a couple of great vintage mics and pres...

I thought Andy's Shiba drive/Koko boost demo sounded better.

Lynch was playing the Orbit Room in Grand Rapids, MI, early 90’s, Mr Scary was in the rack, all by its lonesome, so close that I could have touched it. The rack was situated right next to the exit, the exit door was open, everyone in the room, intently watching George shred, even security was mesmerized at the stunning performance... He probably had ten more back home, right?

Mr Scary went home with George that night...I could have never done it, but the opportunity was there. Even if I had, what kind of a dick would that make me?

What's cool & very evident is that A. Wood inspires us whether he's playing through a $50,000 or a $5.00 amp!

fat tits Howard :hys:

True enough, but that's what it costs to get one regardless of the reasoning. I wouldn't buy a 58 or 59 Lester cause I don't think they are worth the cost. Now...people that are in the position to pay $50,000-350,000 and it's a drop in the bucket? If you like it, why not? Might be worth it to those that have that kind of disposable income.

I thought the tone in the video was good, much better sounding than the one I played several years back. That one was only a $35,000 one though, so, easily understood why this one sounds so much better

Andy where the hell are ya? How did it feel? If you didn't know it was a Dumble would you have liked it?

Good question. Would be interesting to test that out...
