Are there any decent, HORIZONTAL angled 2x12 cabs out there?

I know there are vertical angled 2x12 cabs, but personally I hate the look of them.

Also for my purposes it would suit better to have a horizontal-style angled 2x12 cab, as I want to run it either on top or below my Roland Jazz Chorus 120 combo amp, which is an angled 2x12 in itself.

Not planning to buy anything right now, just searching....

I've not seen one for sale, but I built a horizontal, angled cab several years ago by essentially copying the top half of an angled 4x12. That being said, I prefer the angled, vertical 2x12 I'm using now. I built it a little differently than most angled, vertical 2x12s. From the outside it looks like an oversized straight, vertical 2x12, but I slanted the baffle behind the grill cloth, which is held on by friction and velcro to facilitate easy removal for quick driver changes and micing options.

If you're decent with tools or know someone that is, designing and/or building the cab yourself may be your best option.

the Bogner OS 2x12 is horizontal and has a slight angle to its baffle. not as much as the slant on a slanted 4x12, but it's definitely angled back from vertical.

I used to have a couple of these Mesa angled half back 2x12's.
You can still find them used for pretty cheap.

I appreciate the suggestion, but, no, I'm not keen at all on the Mesa/Boogie angled half-back vertical 2x12s, due to aesthetics as well as that they are vertical. I need a horizontal angled cab.

Again though- I'm not ready to buy anything. I am just trying to find out so when it does hit me one day- I can stroll into any music shop and grab a good quality 2x12 without it being a wasted trip asking if these things exist.

^^ Cool, yep that's what I'm looking for.

What specific model is that Ampeg cab?

Whitebox Engineering does a 2x12 that looks like a straight front but has an upward angled baffle inside. Best of both worlds!!!

Boogie made a 2x12 wedge but I think the discontinued them. I saw one on ebay a few months ago but they're very rare. I've been thinking about coping the design. One of the sound guys we use doesn't like our cabs facing the crowd or wants us to turn way the fuck down.

Depends on how much of an angle you are talking about. I have Sourmash 1936 2x12's. I bought one of them and compared it side by side to my Splawn 2x12 and VHT Fatbottom 2x12......I subsequently sold both of those and bought another Sourmash. They have enough upward angle to project sound to ear level compared to the directional Splawn. I had to run my Splawn 2x12 on its side (vertical) to hear myself at practice. Not so with the Sourmash.......and really affordable.

Well, I want to be able to sit either an amp head or a 2x12 cab on top of it.

Thanks for the suggestion of the Sourmash cab.
