Man I know that feeling!! I dig the 30/green mix. oh.. just a little info. I compared my old marshall cab with old v30's to the elmwood 4x12, the elmwood cab is huge sounding and really balanced nice for the elmwood amp.. ( of course!!) The elmwood cab actually makes the v30 have that h30 feel/sound. with the v30 mids for rocking. very cool cab. I dont venture away from it anymore. I never tried a uberkab! sounds monsterous!

The mod is a just a bright/gain cap really. Depending where you put it, it can run on both channels or just CH2. I have it on both channels. CH1 sounds more Marshall like with more pick attack, upper mids/treble and gain (I doubt you have a clean channel anymore - but I never use clean anyway). Now I can use CH1 boosted for both rhythm and leads (using 2nd master vol) in the AC/DC cover band I'm in! CH2 has a fair bit more gain with extra sizzle, pinch and natural harmonics are much easier. Although I haven't tried CH2 at gig volumes yet, only Ch1 so far.

I asked jan if he could come up with a mod to give me some extra brightness and saturation for CH2, basically its just a capacitor but depending where you put it you can have it affect CH2 or CH1&CH2. I'm not sure about the bright cap in the Modena, my knowledge of amp innards is limited to say the least!
