Eye on another 72 has NFB and MV installed. Looks like possible other mods in past, but no longer?
MV in polarity switch location and NFB into 1 of 2 holes (modded). 1 hole empty.
Original Iron they claim.

Relatively local to grab in person.

Thoughts?

If the price is right but thats a total re do on that board most likely. No red dye anywhere and the board doesnt look correct to me as in replacement. If its cheap yeah

The PT might be a replacement; not seen that stamp on any others? But the pt replacement if it is, fairly common. Post the pics on the Marshall forum in the vintage section for some expert opinions

Also, the components used are spot on to my 72, but like PH stated there’s no dye. Maybe it was a total rebuild but with correct components. The OT is legit.

That’s a complete rebuild/parts build. They didn’t use those sockets and none of the solder joints have die on them.

Proceed with caution. I smell a parts build worth half of a real Marshall.

I might be crazy but the leads on the power transformer look newer and those stampings don’t look familiar to be. Pretty sure it should be a 1202-164. Not the biggest of deals but it’s an opportunity to haggle.

The mustards/chicklets etc on the board match what I have in my 72. So whoever did it took the time to source the right parts; including the all important Lemco 5K bright cap. So you should be able to haggle a bit based on the rebuild/pt…. But anything up to 2K I’d snatch it up. If you don’t give me the sellers info ?
