Another Compulsive Buy. LOL

OK Ever since I was a kid and Saw the KISS Animalize video back in 1984 I wanted a Blue Charvel like the one Bruce Kulick was playing.

Well I was just minding my own business and scrolling through Ebay and

BAM!!! I just cut some poor schmucks throat and won this. Another childhood dream comes true.

I got this 80's metal bug lately so this is going to do just dandy. Gonna give it to a friend of mine for a fresh paint job in the same color put in an EMG and a Brand New Floyd Rose and new Hardware.

Now if I can only remember where I put my Zebra Spandex and Machine Gun Bullet belt

DUDE!!!! I was going to bid on that same guitar!! I want a model 2. I ended up buying a couple things I needed, well, not really, but I bought some other stuff so I couldn't afford it.

The Model series Chavels with the guitar logo like you snagged are EXCELLENT guitars and a great buy. Word got out on them as the prices went way up...I bought several years ago on eBay in the 145-200 range. I used them as base models and swapped out pickups and bridges for OFR's (drop in replacement for the JT-6). and it still blew away anything in the price range and higher. They really are great playing and sounding guitars. I bough my first one in 86 brand new when they first came out as they were a helluva lot cheaper than the USA models for a poor young dude I also sanded some of clear off the backs of the necks to give it more of a unfinished feel and reduce drag from the clearcoat.

bwt..not that it matters much but Bruce Kulick played USA Charvels and the Model series are from Japan

Yeah I know Bruce used the USA models, but it's more for the nostalgia of it. It looks exactly like the Guitar Bruce used in the Animalized Video minus the EMG. Something about a Blue Charvel that has been stuck in my brain since I was 14. And now that I got it with that particular Charvel Logo and headstock I'm happy. I know once I put the new Floyd, Pup, Paint Job on the body and set it up it wont make a difference. I've heard nothing but great things about the MIJ Model series and I'm sure it will play and sound just as great as a USA.
