I've watched a lot of this guys other videos, and he does tend to set things pretty bright, so I know what you are talking about. I don't mind it here or on most his other clips, as I like a fairly present tone too, but he does have a Mark V "Metallica tone settings" video where the tone is just too bright (and scooped for that matter), even for me.
